| The Affordable Access Program was launched on 3rd November 2006 at the University of the Western Cape. Angus Scrimgeour, President of the IADP introduced the Program, and addresses were given by the Honorable Minister of Education, Naledi Pandor, and by Professor Brian O'Connell, Rector of the University of the Western Cape. eBooks
eBooks are electronic versions of traditional books that can be downloaded and read on personal computers and/or using an eBook reader. The Program team are working with participating universities, publishers and NetLibrary to ensure that eBooks for the pilot are made available through NetLibrary to the students. An automated book selection tool is being developed to facilitate this process.
